The agents

Agents that drive delivery across enterprise portfolios

Planning Agent

Turns scope into a plan, built in the same portfolio model that holds your capacity, dependencies and dates.

  • Builds and sequences plans from the milestones and constraints already recorded in the portfolio.
  • Shows where a sequence breaks against dependencies and dates before anyone commits to it.
  • Re-sequences the plan when dates or scope change.
Accountability

The agent builds the sequence. The delivery owner commits the plan and the date the business is held to.

Risk & Issue Agent

Reads delivery, financial and dependency signals together to find exposure while there is still time to act.

  • Flags emerging risk from delivery evidence, before anyone has to report it.
  • Scores each risk for probability and impact, and places it on the portfolio heatmap.
  • Writes up each risk with its cause and a mitigation.
Accountability

The agent raises and drafts the risk. The accountable executive owns it, accepts it or escalates it.

Status Agent

Builds the portfolio narrative from live delivery data, so reporting stops being a collection exercise.

  • Drafts initiative, program and portfolio status from what actually happened.
  • Links every statement to the data behind it.
  • Shows what changed since the last report and why it matters.
Accountability

The agent drafts the report. The accountable owner edits and signs it off before it reaches a board pack.

Action Agent

Handles the chasing, reassigning and updating that fills PMO time but needs no judgment.

  • Chases owners on overdue actions, stalled approvals and orphaned work, with the context already written.
  • Applies approved changes across initiatives, financials and resourcing in one pass.
  • Logs every action, when, and on whose authority.
Accountability

The agent works within your existing permissions. Nothing is sent or changed until a named person approves it.

Data Quality Agent

Checks every initiative for problems that distort portfolio decisions, at a scale nobody can inspect by hand.

  • Finds missing owners, stale updates, broken hierarchies and financials that do not reconcile.
  • Explains what each problem does to a decision, and proposes the correction with its source.
  • Tracks data quality by business unit over time.
Accountability

The agent finds the problems and proposes the fix. The data owner decides what changes.

AI Initiative Review: an interactive demonstration

A worked example of Kiplot's AI Initiative Review, running against a sample initiative called Reduce customer churn. It is a demonstration on a marketing page: the data is illustrative and pressing Execute writes nothing anywhere. Nothing runs until you press the Explore interactive demo button.

The review runs four checks over the initiative. Each one finishes on its own, and you pick a check to see what it proposes. Most proposals are a change to one field: the field, its current value, and the value the review suggests instead. The Actions check is different, because an action that has gone quiet cannot be fixed by editing it, so it proposes a message in Microsoft Teams to the person responsible, already written and ready to read. You select the ones you want, review the set, then execute them. Nothing is changed and nothing is sent until you execute.

The four checks

  • Plan Coherence: compares outcomes, risks and key results against the delivery plan.
  • RAG: reconciles the reported status against its own roll-up.
  • Actions: checks the age and ownership of open actions, and drafts the chase message.
  • Data Quality: reads planning and financial fields for values that contradict each other.

Examples of the changes it proposes

  • Extend an initiative end date when committed spend falls outside the window.
  • Close an outcome whose end date has passed and whose tasks are all complete.
  • Assign an owner to a high-severity risk that has been unowned for weeks.
  • Move an initiative's RAG to Amber when its own outcomes disagree with it.

Examples of the messages it drafts

  • Asking the owner of a long-overdue mitigating action for an update and a revised date.
  • Asking someone with four past-due actions whether they are still live.
  • Asking a colleague to take three actions assigned to a deactivated account.

Every proposal carries the reasoning behind it and the record it was drawn from, so the evidence can be checked before it is accepted. The agent finds the problem, proposes the edit or writes the message, and names the person; a human still decides whether it happens.
