Go-live that means live

Planview's services model extends beyond initial implementation into continuing support for configuration, adoption, reporting, and integrations. A technically live system can still leave the intended portfolio scope unfinished.

Planview's own implementation partners set the expectation plainly. One advertises a six-week rapid deployment model, then adds: “Without our consultancy support, this could take months, instead of weeks.”

Planview's nine-course administrator certification reflects the expertise required to manage the platform's core administrative functions. That level of specialization matters each time an approval route, scoring model, permission set, or executive view changes.

Reporting built in, not bolted on

Planview includes native reporting, but custom executive views can still depend on Power BI, specialist data models, and reporting services. Jira and Azure DevOps integrations sit in Planview Hub, a separate product that Planview markets as “4x faster to set up and 10x easier to maintain and scale than any other integration solution out there.”

Kiplot keeps financials, capacity, risk, and delivery status together, so the steerco pack reflects the live portfolio position. Jira and Azure DevOps connect inside the product, with no second product to set up or maintain.
